Part-Time Jobs

With this exhibition, I wish to explore the characters and hidden qualities behind models. Ever since the beginning of the model occupation, there's been a lingering belief that models are solely pretty people with nothing else to do but bask in their beauty. I’ve titled this series Part-Time to highlight the other roles that models, particularly my models, have. Part-Time isn't used to diminish either the occupation or hobby of modeling, but is used to show that they spend parts of their time on other things that help curate and develop their fabulous personalities. With every shoot I go on, my aim is to learn who the model is as a person. I know they are models when we first meet, but what else? In my exhibition, meet a part-time lawyer, part-time make-up artist, and part-time student.

Monsters and Masks

Monsters can come in many shapes and forms. And sometimes they can be us. This series of

images plays with this idea, capturing students creating monsters using themselves and thrifted

materials of clothing, cotton filling, and more.

Masks offer a disguise that allows people to express emotions outside of their daily identity.

With these masks, the students created their alternate/hidden identities that depict a totally new

face of perfect proportions or a message they hold inside regarding their identities.
